They have witnessed five cataclysms that rewrote life on Earth, and emerged each time, unchanged, unbroken. They are the most resilient of creatures, and yet, they possess a profound, effortless beauty.

About the Artist

Grace is a Chinese artist based in Malaysia. She graduated from the Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts in China and has been living and working as a professional artist in Malaysia since 1999.

With three decades dedicated to artistic expression, Grace draws inspiration from her life experiences—particularly her journeys through culture, travel, and nature. Her work has evolved into a distinctive style characterized by vibrant color, expressive brushstrokes, and conceptual depth.

Grace has held solo exhibitions in both Malaysia and China, earning recognition and acclaim in both countries.

  • National Art Gallery Malaysia (31/May/2018)

    On 31 May 2018, Grace held a solo exhibition at the National Art Gallery of Malaysia, featuring her "Lion Dance" oil paintings as well as "Lion Dance" and "Malaysian Tiger" batik kite paintings, under the title The Power of Tradition. The exhibition was officially opened by the Director General of the National Art Gallery, Prof. Dato' Dr. Mohamed Najib Ahmad Dawa. It received wide public popularity and critical recognition, and was covered by all major newspapers in Malaysia.

  • Beijing Zero Space Art Center, 798 Art District (2021)

    On June 4, 2021, Grace presented her solo exhibition Lige 2021 at the prestigious Zero Art Center in Beijing's 798 Art District. Featuring over 80 of her works, the exhibition masterfully bridged two seemingly distinct themes—cityscapes and jellyfish, bringing them together in harmonious dialogue. The show showcased the unique artistic language Grace has cultivated over the years.

  • Art Accent, Kuala Lumpur

    Grace held her first solo exhibition, Touched, at leading gallery, Art Accent in Kuala Lumpur. The show featured a series of rainforest works inspired by her life in Malaysia. The title reflects how she was influenced and moved by the natural beauty and vitality of the Malaysian rainforest—a force that touched both her spirit and her heart.
